Support & Welfare

Need a hand?
Start with the veteran community.

We are a veterans group that actively tackles social isolation. Sometimes a brew and a chat is enough; sometimes you need specialist help. This page brings the main support routes together so you can find the right one without having to hunt around.

Housing

A safe place to live.

If you're homeless, at risk of losing your home, or need veteran-specific housing support, don't wait until the situation becomes a crisis.

Money & benefits

Money problems are support problems too.

Benefits, debt, pensions, compensation and household finances can become overwhelming. There is support available.

Employment & training

Your service skills still matter.

Career advice, CV support, retraining, veteran-friendly employers and business guidance.

Physical health

Service-related physical health.

Dedicated NHS pathways exist for veterans with ongoing physical health problems attributable to service.

Justice & recovery

Getting back on track.

Specialist support is available for veterans who have come into contact with the criminal justice system or are dealing with related issues.

Families & relationships

Support is for families too.

Partners, children, parents and carers can also need support. You don't have to be the person who served to ask for help.

Practical veteran information

The useful stuff.

Not sure where to start?

Talk to someone who gets it.

You can contact Veterans' Gateway, speak to your GP, use one of the specialist services above, or reach out through HAFVA. You do not need to have everything worked out before asking for help.
