We are a local group of veterans actively tackling social isolation and keeping the Armed Forces community connected. We put on events, bring people together and make sure there is somewhere to turn when you need a bit of support.

Who we are
A veterans association built around camaraderie.
The service may finish, but the camaraderie does not have to. Halifax Armed Forces Veterans Association brings veterans together to tackle isolation, share a bit of banter and keep the sense of community going.
Whether you served yesterday or decades ago - Army, Royal Navy, Royal Air Force, Royal Marines or another service - you are welcome.
We run community activities and public events, including Armed Forces Day activity, displays and field-kitchen/mess-tent events. When you need specialist welfare or health support, our Support & Welfare hub points you towards the right organisation.
